What happens when cooking meets English? 

A fun and unforgettable learning experience!

On 10 July 2026, The Bright English collaborated with OTI Heritage Veteran, Semarang to hold a special Holiday Class that combined hands-on cooking with interactive English learning. The class was joined by six enthusiastic kids, all ready to have fun while trying something new.

The highlight of the session was making Chicken Katsu together with the OTI team. The children enjoyed every step of the fun cooking process. It was exciting to see everyone actively participating and proudly creating their own delicious Chicken Katsu.

But the fun didn't stop in the kitchen! Throughout the activity, the little ones also learned English with The Bright English. They practiced useful cooking vocabulary, followed simple English instructions, answered fun questions, and communicated with the teachers in English during the session. Learning became natural because the language was used in a real-life situation.

The atmosphere was filled with laughter, teamwork, and curiosity. Everyone encouraged one another, shared their experiences, and celebrated their cooking results together. By the end of the class, each participant not only brought home tasty Chicken Katsu but also gained new English vocabulary, greater confidence, and wonderful memories.

A big thank you to OTI Heritage Veteran, Semarang for the amazing collaboration and to all six participants for bringing such positive energy to the class. We hope this Holiday Class inspires children to keep exploring, learning, and having fun, because learning English is always more exciting when it's combined with real experiences!
